I created a multi string value “Consolas” with same value data set up as your “Sans Serif”. It works for me on both cmd prompt and notepad. thank you for so good idea!

Thank you so much for this blog. I was having the same problems after upgrading to Windows 10 and almost gave up on it until I found your blog. My problems were fixed by following option 2 that you gave. Thanks again.
